It’s been a busy start to the year with rapid change across all things work related. I’ve been a bit quiet with writing but miss it too much to stop so hopefully I am breaking the damn again with this post.
It’s funny, having a blog is a very clear reflection of out of whack and balance life can get for me. When I’m balanced I write, when I’m not I don’t and make the excuse that I don’t have time. It’s hilarious to observe, but I’m just trying the best so hey ho… 🙂
So I wanted to say a little about work and with what I do how I see things altering second by second.
With the landscape of the world changing beneath our feet everyday, the only stability that I can see right now in terms of the digital landscape is that work is increasingly becoming a thing we do rather than a place we go.
With more companies offering flexible working environments and typical established industries being disrupted by products, everything is pointing to your laptop being your main money earning tool.
Good news for women who are still sidelined in the workforce especially when little ones come into the picture but also fabulous news for all of us tickled with wanderlust…it is becoming increasingly possible to not, in effect have a workplace.
I must admit I do feel a bit terrified by how much adaption is going to be taking place over the next ten years with many of those at school age now going to be possessing roles and careers that don’t exist even exist now.
But isn’t it exciting? The world turning established ways on its head? Gone are the revered doctor, lawyer, surgeon options and the pressure to box tick as you choose your career – the women and people who will be admired and revered now and in the future are the ones who disrupt that status quo, the innovators, the dreamers, the creatives.
More and more, every day it is becoming more possible that anything is possible. The universe perhaps challenging us to adapt, to be be more of who we are and to do more of what makes us happy – the universe forcing us to free??? through our work???
A beautiful thought…enjoy your day guys
